New Features:
What is new: Changing the view of a sub-grid after navigation to it was not possible in UCI.
User impact: Defining the view of the sub-grid is now possible in the new UCI.
What is new: From Account and Contact to Opportunity, two default relations exists. Support for the new relationship, ‘opportunity_parent’ has been added (not for menu counting).
User impact: When SmartBar is running for an Account or Contact record, a new Opportunity button is used (relationship: opportunity_parent)
BugFixes:
Overview: If the target entity for navigation is not found on the form, show an error with the blog article link
User impact: If the navigation to the sub-grid is not possible because the target entity is not found on the form, an error is shown with a blog article link which shows further steps.
Overview: SmartBar Dialog does not work in the new UCI due to the fact that the [SmartBar-Dialog]-button has been removed.
User impact: The [SmartBar-Dialog]-button cannot be used in the new UCI.
Overview: In older versions of UCI, not all activity types are available. SmartBar shows all activity types out of the box. With the setting ‘SBExcludedActivitiesUCI,’ certain activity types can be ignored.
User impact: If SmartBar shows activity types which are not available in the current version of UCI, this setting can be used to ignore certain types.
Overview: Navigation to entities and web-resources did not work correctly in the new UCI.
User impact: Navigation to entities and web-resources via custom buttons is supported in the new UCI.
Overview: In older versions of Dynamics 365, new records were shown which were only directly related to UCI.
Out of the box, SmartBar shows related records as well.
Via the setting ‘SBDirectRelatedOnlyUCI,’ this can be defined.
User impact: There is a differing amount of related records in SmartBar in comparison with the older versions of UCI.
