Information regarding new release
We are pleased to announce the release of Version 2024.1, which is a direct successor to Version 2020.170.
Please note that this major version jump does not signify any significant changes in the product itself. Instead, it was driven by internal organizational reasons. The versioning change helps us better reflect and manage the technical updates within our development and release processes.
New Features
- Temporary Document Storage: In the DocumentsCorePack Online Service Configuration, it is now possible to specify where temporary documents are stored. They can be stored in Dataverse, Azure Blob Storage provided by mscrm-addons.com, or in a Custom Blob (DB)
- DCP Connector: You can now choose to sort by an attribute in the “Sort Column” attribute of the “Process batch in customer journey” action (AV)
- Inspections: Added an option to display image caption (AF)
- File Type: Documents can now be saved as .xml files (AV)
General Updates/Improvements
- Dialog:
- If defined within the Template Selection Column Configuration, the first column will be used as display field for single lookup prompts (DB)
- Visual improvements to error handling (DB)
- Document listing for batch documents in final step of the Dialog has been improved (DB)
- DocumentsCorePack Local Service Config:
- Load Balancing: The “Service Logon” and “UseSPRestAPI” settings are now taken from the main service and applied to all sub services (PO)
- The service’s minimum “Batch delay” for polling data has been set to 1 (PO)
- Note: Zero and negative values are not allowed
- DocumentsCorePack Solutions: Changed the “Member’s privilege inheritance” setting of DCP security roles from “Team privileges only” to “Direct User (Basic) access level and Team privileges.” Depending on the specific configuration, this can have an influence when assigning security roles via Teams.
- Dataprovider: Improved performance when reading user privileges (AL)
- Updated existing solution versions to “2024.X” (CK)

Bug Fixes
- Dialog:
- Fixed an issue where preselecting a recipient from an OCA did not work correctly if the selected recipient’s logical name contained a “_” character (DB)
- Fixed an issue where MultiDocXML did not work correctly if Note, SharePoint or Prompt logical names contained a “_” character (DB)
- Fixed an issue where DocuSign EU advanced signature did not work with optional recipients (DB)
- Fixed an issue where the “Edit Document” feature did not work with Blob Storage (DB)
- Fixed an issue where some document generation scenarios did not work with Blob Storage (DB)
- Fixed an issue where Blob files would download with the incorrect filename (DB)

- Hyperlinks: Fixed an issue where Hyperlinks were not being deleted correctly (AF)
- Conditions: Fixed an issue where bookmark references displays an error when a condition content control is removed but the content itself is kept (AF)
- Fixed an issue where SharePoint would indicate a SharePoint attribute doesn’t exist if the name of the attribute contains a “/” character (AF)
