General Updates/Improvements
- Pattern Designer:
- Added a context menu hint to the designer (20380).
- “Enter” now commits the pending edit first (and no longer inserts a newline into the text area). The field then loses focus so a subsequent Enter/Save reliably saves and closes with the up-to-date value instead of a stale one (20375).
- Relation Designer: Widened the “Name” column to make reading the relationship name easier (19193).
- Sample Data: There is no longer a delay after selecting a sample data row (19194).
- The Office Add-In’s UI will now change to German or English depending on the environment’s language setting. It will be set to German or English if either are selected, or default to English otherwise. A banner will appear in the “Connection” dialog to notify the user of this change (20307)
- On a brand new launch, the Office Add-In will now be displayed in German if Word is also in German. Otherwise, the Add-In will be set to English (20307).
- Field names used in the template conversion process are now sent in their shortened form instead of the fully expanded name (19810).
- Selecting a “Rows and Columns” or “Grouping” option now checks whether the selection is in a table before running other checks, and combines the waiting and status dialogs, reducing the delay before a result is displayed (18890).
Bug Fixes
- Table Designer: Fixed the following issues (20376, 20214, 20215):
- The notification bar no longer jumps around when resizing the window.
- The notification bar no longer overlaps with the “Table Designer” text.
- When closing the notification bar, the rest of the content now uses the available space/height.
- Incorrect padding.
- The capitalization of context menu items is now consistent.
- The styling of the “Add Grouping” button has been adjusted to prevent it from looking inactive.
- Condition Designer: Fixed an issue where the designer filled new rows with the selected field of the previous row instead of showing a placeholder (18865).
- Condition Fields: Fixed an issue where the condition field used a normal CC instead of a richtextbox CC, which prevented tables and multiline text from being added to them (19111).
- Pattern Designer: Pattern-repair logic no longer inserts a stray
+between a field and an immediately following dot-function suffix (20375). - License Key: Fixed an issue where the license key was retrieved from the wrong Settings Key (19548).
- Prompts: Fixed an issue where clicking on the “Move Next” button inside the Template Settings resulted in an error (19958).
- Save Template: Fixed an issue where entering a name for the template would sometimes cause typed characters to be removed or ignored when typing fast or intermittently (19192).
- Create Document: Fixed an issue with AppAccess connections where user impersonation was not handled correctly, which was causing the time in DateTime fields to be incorrect (19823).
- Relationship Designer: Fixed an issue where both “Query Expression” and “Query Expression V2” were selectable at the same time (19715).
- Template Settings: Fixed a minor navigational warning when selecting the “General” tab (19480).
- Fixed an issue where a missing prompt label could prevent the context menu from opening or causing an error or crash (20085).
- Fixed an issue where converting a template via dialog instead of via taskpane failed to retain certain document properties, resulting in missing data in the result document (19735).
- Fixed an issue where the “License Details” dialog was displayed incorrectly (18862).
- Fixed an issue where opening a dialog (e.g. Save Template) sometimes showed a blank window with a Word error saying “Office.js has not fully loaded” (18556).
- Fixed an issue where, when opening a dialog, the loader jumps to the top of the page for a brief moment (19099).
